Clinical statistics and biodiversity (BIOST3)

The research group in Clinical and Biodiversity Statistics is part of the Department of Statistics of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Barcelona, focuses its research on applying methods of computational statistics and Bayesian statistics to biological systems, with special emphasis in clinical and biodiversity data. They often collaborate in the analysis of data of large experiments carried out by companies, thus extracting much more useful information.

  • Statistical analysis of clinical and epidemiological trials
  • Software development and statistical software
  • Bayesian statistical analysis using Markov Chain Montecarlo methods
  • Quantitative multivariate analysis of biodiversity and complex biological systems
  • Bioinformatics
