Science and Engineering of Emerging Systems (SEES:lab)

The SEES lab works on developing computational and statistical methods for the analysis of biological systems, and particularly for complex biological networks. The group has developed methods for network characterization and module identification, as well as for network inference and link prediction. Such methods are being used, among others, to study ecosystems, brain networks, and metabolism, and to predict, for example, drug-drug interactions. The group also has expertise on machine and statistical learning methods (specifically, Bayesian inference), and on its application to predictive modeling of biological systems.
