Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG)
The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is an independent Institution that brings together diverse plant and farm animal research groups. Research at CRAG encompasses from basic science in plant development, physiology, metabolism and genetics; to bioinformatics and genomics of plants and farm animals; and to applied projects developed together with Agbio, Biotech, and Breeding companies.
The Center is organized into four different Scientific Programs: Plant Development and Signal Transduction, Plant Responses to Stress, Plant Metabolism and Metabolic Engineering, and Plant and Animal Genomics. The research carried out at CRAG involves several areas of bioinformatics, including the analysis of genome-wide datasets, QTL / association studies, statistical genomics, regulatory networks, and sequence, variability and structure of plant and animal genomes. CRAG is a "Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence".
