Job description

The Group of Biology of Reproduction is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our research team at the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) by the beginning of 2020. The aim of the PhD thesis is to study the epigenetics marks caused by the interactions of the immune and reproduction systems in fish.

 

Desired skills and expertise

Candidates should hold a Master´s degree in Biology, Genetics, Aquaculture or similar with high qualifications in both Degree and Master studies.

The proposed project involves working, among others, with live fish, molecular techniques in the lab and in silico analysis by handling bioinformatics data. Candidates with working experience in these fields are especially encouraged to apply. The position requires good organizational skills, independence and ability to work well with others.

 

Contract duration and other benefits

The PhD position is funded by a one-year contract and continued funding will depend on the competence of the candidate.
