Bioinformatitian position at the Group of Biology of Reproduction

The Group of Biology of Reproduction is seeking a highly motivated bioinformatitian to join our research team at the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) by the beginning of 2020. The person will work in a stimulating project to study the epigenetic marks in the zebrafish and European sea bass genomes caused by the interactions of the immune and reproduction systems.
The proposed project involves working in silico analysis by handling bioinformatics data from high throughput sequencing (miRNA, metabolomic, RRBS and Single-cell).
Desired skills and expertise
Candidates should hold a Master´s degree in Computational Biology, Genetics, Aquaculture or similar with high qualifications in both Degree and Master studies.
Candidates with working experience in R and Python environment are especially encouraged to apply. The position requires good organizational skills, independence and ability to work well with others.
Contract duration and other benefits
The position is funded by a one-year contract and continued funding will depend on the competence of the candidate. It is also possible to do PhD studies.
