At the Endocrine Regulatory Genomics lab we are looking for a highly motivated bioinformatic analyst as a new member for our group. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and collaborative team in an excellent multidisciplinary scientific environment.
In our lab we use cutting-edge technology to generate genomic, transcriptomic and epigenomic data originating from human primary tissues. The successful candidate, as part of a team of bioinformaticians and molecular biologists, will integrate large-scale datasets with the goal of discovering new treatments for cancer and diabetes.
Desired skills and expertise
The position is open for researchers with both a computer science and biological/medical background. Experience in statistics and computer programming (MSc or PhD in a computer science or bioinformatics-related field. R, Python and experience with Unix operating systems, including shell scripts) is expected.
Candidates need to prove a strong commitment to achieving research excellence and interest to conduct independent research.
All courses, lectures and seminars are held in English. Thus, candidates have to be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Contract duration and other benefits
Employed in compliance with Spanish legislation employees receive the benefits of the Spanish Social Security system covering sickness, maternity/paternity leaves and injuries at work. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
