PRBB-CRG Session. Mike Feolo, National Center for Biotechnology Information, US
Abstract: The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP) provides unprecedented access to very large genetic and phenotypic datasets funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health, and other funding agencies worldwide. Through controlled access, approved researchers from across the globe may obtain access to complete statistical analyses, individual phenotype information and molecular data. This presentation will summarize the data content, technical and biological quality control of the data, and recent modifications to the system that help to accommodate recent NIH initiated federated cloud storage/access solutions.
